… A place that will make you go crazy

In the department of Bolívar there is the corregimiento of Galerazamba, which is part of the municipality of Santa Catalina. The place has a great history and its salt flats steal the entire show, as they give the waters an intense pink color.

The main tourist attraction is the pink sea, which turns this color by a natural phenomenon derived from the large concentration of saline in the Waters. You can take a bath in these waters, you can walk on a bridge that is in the middle of the sea, and you can even collect salt crystals present in the sea.

You can visit the Ethnoindustrial Museum, among his pieces there are vessels of pre-Columbian art and representative elements of the indigenous people who occupied this area. there is also a beautiful organ, imported from Paris, from the 50s, isn’t it great?

  • Take a bus from the transport terminal of Cartagena, to the municipality of Catalina, which has a value of 10,000 pesos per person, the bus leaves at approximately every hour.
  • In a private vehicle you can go all the way to the sea that leads from Cartagena to Barranquilla and which will take you 45 minutes.
  • Finally, hire a tour, all inclusive which has a cost of 180,000 pesos per person.
